julia

Julia first picked up a fiddle at the age of eight. Over the years she has played in venues throughout Scotland. Wherever she has lived and worked, both in Scotland and in far-flung places, her fiddle has come with her.
In her ventures abroad, she remembers fondly enjoying regular ‘sessions’ with groups in Irish bars in Seville and Valencia, and teaching ceilidh dancing at a wedding in a stunningly beautiful valley in rural Japan.
Tom

Tom plays piano keyboard, and gives the band its bounce and its beat. His musical journey has so far taken him into private tuition and composing, as well as playing.
Tom is piano accompanist with the Edinburgh Highland Reel & Strathspey Society, and he also plays with smaller ensemble groups. Although piano is his main instrument, he does confess to having a shiny red accordion in his collection, and other assorted noise-making devices and gadgets strewn around the house.
George

George has many years’ experience playing fiddle, starting at a very early age. He is the main architect of the band’s musical arrangements.
George has played in small groups and duets, and is an honorary life member of the Edinburgh Highland Reel and Strathspey Society. He has performed the length and breadth of Scotland and is equally at home playing in large concert halls or the local pub.
